Thursday, July 11, 157, z-rith the following members presentr R-Zr. A. G. Davis, presiding; P~dessrs. David Hannah, Charles Wilson and Horace Rice. Chairman M. C. Halbert was absent. (Mr. Robert Made ley submitted a taritten resignation to the City Commission, as he was moving out of the city.) A written request was submitted by Mr. J. V. Lamb 2735 Sunset Blvd., in compliance with action taken at the regular meeting on June 13. Mr. 7,,aazb had verbally requested permission to build a servant's room over-his ex- isting garage for a sleeping room only, with no bath or other facilities. Action was taken by the Board on June 15 at a special meeting recommend- ing approval of Mr. Lamb's request, provided no bath was to be installed and subject to an affidavit being executed .that the structure would not be used for commercial or rental purposes. Plans attached to Mr. Lamb's written request dated July 5 show complete bathroom facilities. Since this request was a change from the original, the following action was taken: Motion by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Rice that action taken at the June 15th meeting approving Mx'. Lamb's request be rescinded, and that the request be held for further study. .Voting Aye: All No: None Mr. John L. Buvens, 6032 Fordham, requested permission to construct a concretes b adjacent to his garage which would extend to within 3' ~" o e rear proper y ne. Mr. Buvens explained that he did not wish to construct any building on the slab. Motion by Prir. Hannah, seconded by Per. Rice, that the Board recommeind to the City Commission that the request of P~Irr. Buvens for permission to con- struct a concrete slab adjacent to his garage to extend within 3t Sf- of the rear property line be approved.
