A letter signed by Mitchell Cantrell, Chairman of the Official Board, West
University Methodist Church, requesting use of Lot OA, Bloc , Wes ver-
sity Place 1st Addition, for church purposes, was su mit e o e oar or

The letter explained that the said lot adjoins the property now zoned for church
use and occupied by the West University Methodist Church, and fronts on Virginia
Street. The west portion of the lot is used by the Houston Natural Gas Company,

City Commission that Lot 10A, Block 25, West University Place 1st Addition be
rezoned for church purposes, subject to usual setback requirements, and with a
recommendation that a study be made for relocation of the cooling tower to the
west end of the proposed building, in order that noise and mist will be least
objectionable to neighboring residents.
