The Zoning & Planning Board comrened in regular session at the City Hall,
Thursday, October 13, 1955, ?:30 P.M. ~r3.th the .following members presents
Mr. M. C. Halbert, presiding; Messrs. A.G.Davis, Maley, Hannah and Telilson.
Mr. E.R.Davis was absent due to business reasons.
Mr. Joseph Marques, 2616 Amherst, owner of Lots.l, 3 & 5, Black 13, Virginia

Motion by Mr. Hannah, seconded by Mr. Daley that the Board xithhold the
recommendation on the request of Mr. Joseph Marques for discussion with the.
City Commission and City Attorney for legal interpretation of the Ordinance

Mr. Paul Elliott President of the Art Lea a and organisation work3,n~.for

advising that Lot $, Block q, Preston Place hacl been. offered to the group
to be used as a location to erect a building suitable for art~~h_,,ibits. Mr.
Elliott submitted a 2.,000 Sq. Ft. floor plan for a, building the group pro-
posed to erect for ._ib't~o~urposes.
Motion by Mr. Hannah, seconded by Mr. Maley that the Board recommend that
the request of Mr. Paul Elliott for erection of an exhibit building on Lot 8,
Block 9, Preston Place, be denied, for reason that the afore~nentio~d Lot
is in a single family residential area.
Voting Aye: All No: done
With. no farther business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
