The regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning & Planning Board was not held
on this date due to lack of a quorum.

'.he Zoning & Planning Board convened in Special Session en March 12, 1954,
with the following members present; Mr, Ed Davis; presiding; NL~. Gordon
Davis, and Mr. David Hannah. Mr. Chas. Taylor and Mr. H. C. Halbert were
absent.
The Board met tc consider a request frcm Mr. and Mrs. $ert McElroy, 2903
uenb , for permission to complete a 7 12' playhouse with inside dimensions
11'. Mrs. McElrcy explained that the building was started before ob-
taining a permit as she was unaware of this size build~.ng requiring a permit.
It was determined that the B4 Sq. Ft. playhouse plus tine existing garage
building consists of approximately 500 Sq. Ft. which is well within the
mal~im~:m back yard coverage specified by the Zoning Ordinance. In view of
no apparent violation of the Zoning Ordinance, the following action was
taken:
Motion by Mr. Gordon Davis, seconded by Mr. Hannah that the Board reccmrnend
to the City Commission that a building permit be issued 2~r. and Mrs. Bert
McElroy, 2903 ~uenby, for construction of a 7 Y l2Ft. playhouse as requested.
Voting Aye : A1.1
Voting No : None
(At the time of the meeting the Board Members were unaware of any policy which
had been followed by the City Commission whereby permits were issued for play-
houses only when they contained less than 60 Sq. Ft. with a maximum finished
ceilirg height of 52 Ft. and are erected on a temporary foundation; however,
since the inside area contained only 6 Ft. over the maximum which has been
specified by the City Commission it was their recommendation that the permit
be issued.)
With r~o further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
