ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 11, 195+
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall
on Thursday, February 11, 195+, 7:30 P.M. with the following members
present: Mr. E, R. Davis, presiding; Mr. A. G. Davis. Messrs. Halbert,
Hannah and Taylor were absent.
Mr. Davis advised the applicants that official action could not be taken
at this meeting as the two Board members present did not constitute a
quorum, however they cculd submit their requests if they so desired.
Mr. and Mrs. John F. G. Kalb, 2911 Lafayette, submitted a request for per-
mission to install bath facilities in a utility and laundry room which
he is now erecting.. Mr. Kalb stated that he was willing to execute an
affidavit to the effect that the structure would not be used for rental
or commercial purposes.
Mr. M. L. Ossnbaugh, owner of Lot 2, Block 42, West University Place No. 1,
fronting 100 x 200 Ft. on Bellaire Boulevard verbally requested that the
Zoning Ordinance be amended to permit a multiple housing unit on the said
lot.
Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Hinkle, submitted a verbal application for permission
to erect a small Root Beer Drive-in stand at the corner of Sunset and
Kirby Drive.
Mr. Carey Williamson, and other representatives from the West University
Baptist Church verbally applied for permission to move a two-story frame
building from the side of the new structure to a temporary location on
Milton Street across from the city's equipment storage barn.
Mr. Davis told the applicants the Board would convene in a special meeting
at the earliest practicable date to consider the requests submitted.
