Thursday, June 11, 1970, 7:30 p.m., with the following members present: Chairman David Hannah, presiding; Members L. B. Bricker, R. C. Hilton,. and E. Gene Hines. Messrs. A. L. Lockard and Robert Nunn, representing Mr. Louis M. Moore, owner of Lot 1-B, ..Block 90, West University Place 2nd Addition, City of West University Place, Texas 3315 Bissonnet appeared before the Commission concerning making application for rezoning of this property for townhouses. After a general discussion and questions from the mem- bers of the Commission establishing easements, exact location, depth and other pertinent information, the gentlemen were advised that a consideration of this lot alone would be "spot" zoning and would not be considered, but that rezoning a whole strip fronting on Bissonnet might have some merit. They were also ad- vised the Commission would confer with the City Attorney in regards to area that could legally be considered and that oneof the determining factors would be the feelings of those who owned other lots on the strip that might be included. Messrs. Nunn and Lochard stated they would contact the other owners and obtain any other information the Commission needed to consider an application for rezoning. They left the meeting at this time. Application number 69-6, submitted by H. W. Watkins, owner of Lot 8, Block 7, West University Place 1st Addition, City of West University Place, Texas, located at 6611 Belmont, was presented to the Commission.for consideration by Mr. Robert L. Phifer, representative of Mr. Watkins. The Commission was advised that the applicant requested subdivision of Lot 8, Block 7, into two lots, each 50' x 200', each fronting on Belmont Street. The information was brought out that there is an existing building on the property but that the building would be either de- molished or moved to meet all set back requirements. Motion by Mr. Hines, seconded by Mr. Hilton, that a Public Hearing be called for the next regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission,. Thursday, July 9, 1970, 7:30 p.m., at the City Hall, to consider subdivision of Lot 8, Block 7, located at 6611 Belmont, into two lots, each 50' x 200', each fronting on Belmont Street, subject to presentation of an official plat of the property to be placed on file.
