B. Bricker, R. C. Hilton, E. Gene Hines and H. E. Lott. Mr. E. A. Mayor appeared before the Commission to discuss the views of the Commission concerning the rezoning of the following property owned by Mr. Mayor: fast 10 ft, of Lot 10, All of Lots 8 and 9, and the West _~+5 ft, og ~,ot 7, Block One (1), Kent, F~age Addition, City of West University Place, Texas. -. Mr. Mayor reviewed his efforts in contacting other property owners in the area including property adjacent and property across Mercer Street. He stated that those contacted wanted the property rezoned or at least would raise no objections.. Mr. Mayor said he felt that the Townhouse rezoning on Bissonnet had been bery successful and in view of the fact that several lots on Bellaire Blvd... and Stella Link had been rezoned from single-family dwellings. to business o~ offie,e building classifications since he last appeared before the Commission that its thinking on his property. might have changed. Mr. Mayor was advised that in order to avoid "spot" zoning that consideration by the Commission in this area would necessarily have to include properties from Poor Farm Ditch, which is the west boundary of Mr. Mayor's property, east to Buffalo Speedwy, and that no other property owner, with the exception of Mr. Mayor, had approached the Commission expressing a desire for rezoning of these four blocks, and due to this fact the Commission did not feel that the ime was right to consider rezoning and it felt nothing had materially changed since the last discussion with Mr. Mayor. Mr. Mayor left the meeting at this time. The Commission reviewed a draft of recommendations from the Zoning and Planning Commission to be presented to the City Commission concerning certain interpre- tations of Zoning Ordinance no. 111. Servants' quarters, garage apartments, circular driveways, hard surfaced material covering front yards, and location of garages with respect to front and rear building lines were thoroughly discusssed and tentative recommendations worked out. Rear lot coverage, definition of rear yard, .entire lot coverage, size, location and furnishings of accessory and utility buildings were also discussed, but further research was indicated before recommendations are made. With no further business to come before the Commission at duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned. ~ Attest: ecretary __ _ _ _ __ s time, upon motion u 0
