ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 18, 199
The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place
met in recessed session at the City Hall, Tuesday, November l8, 1969, 7:30
p.m., with the following members present: Chairman David Hannah, presiding;
L. B. Bricker, R. C. Hilton, E.1Gene Hines, and H.E. Lott. City Attorney
City Attorney Charles Cockrell was also present.
Application number 69-5 from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Compan request-
ing rezoning of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 25, Collegevies 1st. Addition,-City
of West University Place, Texas, was taken under consideration.
Several phases of the application were discussed with the City Attorney, in-
cluding accessibility from streets, screening devices, adjacent properties,
definitions of :spot: zoning, set-back requirements. and landscaping.
Motion by Mr. Hilton, seconded by Mr. Lott, that a Public Hearing be called
for Thursday, December 11, 1969, 8.:00 p.m. at the City Hall for further consi-
deration of Application number 69-5 from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Com-
pany requesting rezoning of Lots 1, 2, Sand ~+, Block 25, Collegeview lst
Addition, ~~.t~r, o~',,T~est, University Place, Texas, for parking of automobiles
owned by the Southwestern Be11,Telephone Company and~or its employees, and
that David Hannah, Chairman, Zoning and Planning Commission, be authorized
to submit a Preliminary Report concerning this application to the City Commis-
sion.
Voting Aye: All Voting No: None
A lengthy discussion of accessory and utility buildings (size, construction,
and use thereof was held by members of the Commission and the City Attorney.
There being no further l~b~.isiness to come before the ommission at this time,
upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the eeting was adjourned.
