REGULAR MEETING OF
ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
JANUARY g, lg6g
The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place convened
in regular session at the City Hall on Thursday, January g, lg6g, at 7 :30 p.m.
with the following members present: Chairman David W. Hannah, presiding; Members
L. B. Bricker, R. C. Hilton and E. Gene. Hines. H. E. Lott was absent.
David C. DuBose, Attorney, representing the partnership of Robert H. Ray and Jack
C. Pollard, appeared before the Commission and made application for the rezoning of
Lot 5, Block 5, Preston Place Addition, City of West University Place,, Texas for
retaal business district and~or professional and business office building district.
Mr. Pollard was also present. They also submitted plans 'for an office building to
~+ be built on this property. in the event it is rezoned.

~ After discussing the plans and studying the maps of the proposed area to be re-
~ zoned with the Commission, Mr. Dubose and Mr. Pollard left the meeting.

~ Motion by Mr. Hines, seconded by Mr. Bricker, that a Public Hearing be called for
7:30. p.m. on February 13, 1g6g, to consider rezoning. the following described lot
for retail business district and~or professional and business office building
district:
Lot 5, Block 5, Preston Place Addition,
City of W~st University Place, Texas,
that proper legal notice be given, and that Mr. Hannah, Chairman, be authorized to
prepare a Preliminary Report to the City Commission concerning the rezoning of the
property.
Voting Aye: All Voting No: None
The Commission discussed in detail the Public Hearing held December 12, 1868 con-
cerning the rezoning of
(1) Lots g, 10 and 11, Block 3, Cunningha, Terrace
Addition, City of West University Place, Texas,
fronting on ,~tella Link;
(2) The North .~-~-7 Acres of Block 2, Cunningham
terrace, City of West University Place, Texas,
(3) The South 60' of Block 2, Cunningham Terrace
Addition, City of West University Place, Texas,
(Properties (2) and (3) are bounded on the east
side by Stella Link and on the west side by
Weslayan Rd.).
Motion by Mr. Hines, seconded by Mr. Bricker,. that the Commission recommend that
Lots g, 10 and 11, Block 3, Cunningham Terrace
Addition, City of West University Place, Texas,
be zoned for a retail business district, and that
The North .47 Acres of Block 2, Cunningham Terrace
Addition, City of West University Place, Texas, and
The South 60' of Block 2, Cunningham Terrace
Addition, City of West University Place, Texas
be zoned for Parking and~or Professional and Business Office Building District, and
that Mr. Hannah, Chairman, be authorized. to prepare the Final Report and Recommenda-
tions of the Zoning and Planning Commission to the City Commission, concerning this
proposed zoning.
Voting Aye: All Voting No: None
There being no further business to come before the Commiss~n at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjour ed.
