JUNE. 13, 1963
The Zoning & Planning Board-convened in regular session at the City Hall
on Thursday, June 13, 1963, 7:30 pm, with the following members present:
Chairman Gill, presiding; Members Snyder and Hilton. Members Haralson, Jones
and Lott were absent.
Mr. A. C. Moss, 3~-Ol Robinhood, appeared before the Board requesting per-
mission to erect. an X 20 foot addition onto his present garage. and hobby
room. He explained that the addition was for the purpose of e:~larging his
hobby room (woodworking) to permit space for a commode and small sink, and
a storage room. He stated that he .intended to install only 110 volt elec-
trical wiring and would execute an affidavit to the fact the structure would.
not be used as_a living unit nor for commercial purposes.
Motion by Mr. Snyder, seconded. by Mr.-Hilton., that the request of Mr. A. C.
Moss, 3+01 Robinhood, for permission to erect an 8 X 20 foot addition onto
his present garage and hobby room for the purpose of enlarging the hobby
room and adding .storage space be approved; subject to only a commode and
small sink in the area and further subject to the execution of an affidavit
by Mr. Moss that the structure will. not be used as a living unit nor for
commercial purposes.
Voting Aye: All Voting No: None
Mr. Ray Pollard, representing owners of property at 5816 block of .Kirby
Drive advised the Board that they were very desirous of demolishing the
residence on the northwest corner of Plumb :and Kirby Drive and surfacing
the area for parking purposes. The Board exp~.ained to Mr. Pollard that
the-lot, even though adjacent to commercial property, was zoned for single-
family residential use, but if he would submit a definite written request
it would be considered by the Board.
Mr. F. H. Weidman, 3836 Rice Boulevard, and owner of Lots 17 and l8, Block
1 , College_View 3rd Addition, requested by letter, .permission to sell
only 55' of Lot 17, which was indicated on a sketch presented as being
57.2 feet. After reviewing the matter, the Board could see no objection
to the sale of the east. 55 feet of lot 17 block 14, College View 3rd
Addition, and they did not feel that this was a zoning matter.
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, themeeting was adjourned.
