REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 10, 1866
The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place
convened in regular session at the City Hall on Thursday, February 10,
1966, 7:30 p.m., with the following members present: Chairman Hannah,
presiding; Members Bricker, Hilton, Lott and Hines.
Chairman Hannah announced that the Public Hearing called for 7:30 p.m.
for the purpose of hearing interested parties in connection with the
request of Mrs. Billie Jenkins for permission to subdivide the west one half o
of Lot 5, Block lg, West University Place First Addition into two lots, one
with a 50 foot frontage and a to foot width to a depth of 82.5 feet, and
45 feet wide fot the remaining 57.5 foot depth, and one 75 X 150 feet,
each to front on Brom~ton,,R~ad, was in session. He asked those present
who desired to be heard to please come forward, and the oath was admini-
stered at this time to Mr. Carroll Brown and Mrs. Billie Jenkins, 6415
Brompton Road.
Chairman Hannah stated for the record that notice was published in the
Southwest Peach section of the Houston Chronicle on January 26, 1866,.•
and that notices were mailed to all property owners within 200 feet of
the property involved on January 1g, 1g66.
Mr. Brown stated that it was the desire of Mrs. Jenkins to subdivide the
lot so that one lot could be sold for the purpose of new construction,
if she so desired, and she would have only one lot to maintain herself.
With no further persons desiring to be heard, the following action was
taken:
Motion by N1r. Hilton, seconded by Mr. Bricker, that the public hearing
be closed.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No: None
Motion by Mr. Lott, seconded by Mr. Hines, that the request of Mrs..
Billie Jenkins, 6?+15 Brompton Road ~'or subdivision of the west 1~2 of
Lot 5, Block 18, West University Place First Addition into two lots,
one with 50 foot frontage and 50 foot wide to a depth of 82.5 feet,
and 45 feet wide for the remaining 57.5 feet, and one 75 X 150 feet,.
each to front on Brompton Road, be granted.

Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Simons of 6703 Rutgers appeared before the Commission
in behalf of their request to subdivide the property located at 6703
Rutgers into two lots, one 55 X 100 feet and one 63 X 100 feet, each
to front on Rutgers Street. A plot plan of the property was attached
to the application. After discussion, Mr. Simons stated that he wished

to spend approximately 8,000 to .make additions to his present home,
rather than to su'b.divide the lot if this were possible for him to do.
In view of this, the Board agreed to explore any such possibilities
and -the request of Mr. E. J. Simons for subdivisio was tabled, pending
further information.
With no further business to come before the Co fission at this time,.
