SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING AND PLANNING CONLMISSION
AUGUST 19,..1971
The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place con-
vened in special session at the City Hall, Thursday, August 19, 1971, 7:30 p.m.,
with the following members presentr Chairman E. Gene Hines, presiding; Mem-
bers L. B. Bricker, M. C. Caldwell, and Roland E. Dahlin. H. Allen Weatherby
was not present. - '
~ Mr. Ed Finley and Mr. Alf-Davey, representatives of Caudill, Rowlett and Scott,
~ Architects, Engineers and Plarniers were present at the meeting.

'"'~ Members of the Commission and Messrs. Finley and Davey discussed in detail a
V proposal from Caudill, Rowlett and Scott dated August 2, 1971 to update the land
V use study of the City of West University Place made by this firm in 19b3.
Messrs. Finley and Davey left the meeting after this discussion..
All members expressed a favorable reaction to the August 2, 1971 Caudill, Rowlett
and Scott proposal.
Motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Dahlin, that the Zoning and Planning Commis-
sion accept the proposal fromCaudill, Rowlett and Scott dated August 2, 1971, to
update the land use study of the City of West University Place at a cost of
$5,000.00,' and that the Chairman be authorized to appear before the City Commission
at their next regular meeting, August 23, 1971, to recommend that the City Cormnis-
siona~ecept the proposal and take acti®n to have a contract dratan between the City
of West University Place and Caudill, Rowlett and Scott based on the proposal.
Voting Aye:~ All Voting No: None
The members discussed means by which information concerning the occupancy of
garage apartments in the City of West University Place could be distributed to owners,
buyers, and members of the Houston Realtors Association. No action was taken.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting adjourned.
