REGULAR MEETING
ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 1, 1971
The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place con-
vened in regular session at the City Hall, Tuesday, June 1, 1971,. 7:30 p.m.,
with the following members present: Chairman E. Gene Hines, presiding; Mem-
bers L. B. Bricker, Roland E. Dahlin, and H. Allen Weatherby.
A letter from the City Attorney concerning procedure to be followed by the
Zoning and Planning Commission in the acquisition of property by the City for
use as a public park was presented to the Commission for their information.

~ A letter from Mr. Thomas H. Mayor, 3609 Nottingham, requesting a meeting with
~p the Commission for the purpose of discussing the zoning status of property
°'~ owned by his family in the 3500 block. of Bellaire was presented to the Commis-
LV sion for consideration. The Chairman was authorized to write Mr. Mayor and
advise the Commission would meet with he and his father at the next regular
meeting on Tuesday, July 6, 1971, to informally discuss the .zoning status
of their property located in the 3500 block of Bellaire Boulevards but that
the Commission would probably not be ready to take any official action towards
rezoning of any property until their study which is in progress at this time
is completed on updating the zoning ordinance of the City.
Motion by Mr. Bricker, seconded by Mr. Dahlin, that Public Hearing scheduled
for this time to consider the application of C. F. Healy, Owner of
Lot 3, B7.ock 47
West University 2nd Addition
City of West University Place, Texas
3301 Amherst
to subdivide this lot into two (2) lots, each 50~ x 150, both fronting on
Amherst, by opened.
The Chairman ascertained from the secretary that all legal requirements were
met by publication of legal notice~of the date of Public Hearing,~time, place,
and purpose in the Houston Chronicle, May 14, 1971, and that all property
owners within 200 ft. radius were notified in writing of the Public Hearing.
The Chairman administered the oath to Mr. Healy who appeared in behalf of his
application and presented a sketch by the City Engineer of the property under
consideration.
Motion by Mr. Dahlias, seconded by Mr. Weatherby, that

be subdivided into two (2) lots, each 50~ x 1501, each fronting on Amherst,
subject to the filing of an official survey by a licensed engineer in the
office of the City Manager, and sub~.ect to all requirements of the Zoning Ordi-
nance of the City of West University Place, Texas.
Voting Ays: All Voting No: None

Motion by Mr. Weatherby, seconded by Mr. Dahlin, that Public Hearing be closed.
With no further business to come before the Commission at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting adjourned.
