SPECIAL "FETING ZONING AND PLANI~IING CGMI~ISSION SEPTEMBER 19, 1972 The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place con- vened in special session at the City Hall, Tuesday, September 19, 1972, with the following members present: Chairman Hines presiding; Members L. B. Bricker,, M. C. Caldwell, Roland Dahlin, and H. Allen Weatherby. Minutes of the regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission of Septem-'" f" ber 5, 1972 were presented and approved as submitted. Cad ~ Applications from William Peet, Owner of '-J ~ Lot Two (2), Block Four (4) V West University 1st Addition 3100 Block of Bellaire Boulevard and James L. Russell, Owner of So. 124.2 ft. of Lot 1, Block fort~r one {41) 1nTest University 1st Addition 3200 Block of Bellaire Boulevard to rezone these properties for the construction of office buildings were sub- mitted for consideration. Applications from James L. Russell, Owner of Lots Tr~ree (3) and Four (4), Block Four (4) West University 1st Addition 3100 Block of Bellaire Boulevard to rezone for construction of a building to house a financial institution, and Dr. Thomas G. Gready, Jr., Owner of Lots lA, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3 and 4, Block Three (3) West University 1st Addition 3000 Block of Bellaire Boulevard to rezone for construction of office buildings and a medical clinics submitted to the Commission at the regular meeting on September 5, 1972 were also presented for consideration. In connection with these applications a letter from Marvin F. Bongo, representing his mother, Owner of Lot 1, Block 4, West University 1st Addition 3100 Block of Bellaire Boulevard was submitted, in which he stated his mother was in favor of single-family restric- tions being lifted on Bellaire Boulevard. 1~~4 After a detailed discussion of these applications on their own merit and as related to the Zoning and Planning Commissionis current study of all peripheral areas, motion by Mr. Dahlin, seconded by Mr. Caldwell, that the Zoning and Planning Commission proceed as quickly as possible to consider the peripheral area and make a recommendation to the City Commission on the entire plan. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Weatherby, that action on the above described applications be postponed until the next regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission on October 3,.1972.
