HomeMy WebLinkAbout06021983 ZPC Minutes (2)1..52 SPECIAL MEETING ZONING ~ PLANNING COMMISSION JUNE 2, 1983 The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place convened in special session on Thursday, June 2, 1983, 7:30 p.m., with the following members present: Chairman Kendrick, presiding; Members Bettler and Norton. Notice of Meeting was posted in the City Hall on Friday, b4ay 27, 1983, in accordance with State Statutes. Chairman Kendrick submitted draft of a Subdivision Ordinance. Members re- viewed said ordinance with the following suggested changes for consideration by the City Council: 1. Page 4 - Fourth paragraph change "thirty (30) days" to "sixty (60) days" 2. Page 5 - No. 3 under Section E, change language to track building permit requirements of sixty (60) days to begin construction and one (1) year for completion. 3. Page 6 - b under Section 5, A, 4 to read: "A statement prepared for the signature of the Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Commission, Director of Public Safety, Director of Operations, and members of the City Council, where required, stating that the final plat has been approved by such govermental authorities." 4. Page 6 - No. 3 of Section B, change "six (6) months" to "one (1) year." 5. Page 7 - No. 2 under Section 8-A, change "final" to "preliminary" in last sentence. 6. Page 6 - B under Section 8, shall read as follows: "Construction. The Subdivider, at his expense shall, after obtaining appropriate building permits, construct all streets, alleys, culverts, drainage facilities, motor lines, sewer lines, and other required utilities, within the subdivided property all...".sentence to continue as drafted. Chairman Kendrick reported briefly on Conference on Zoning at Texas A$M University attended by Mr. Bettler, Building Inspector Perry and himself and advised he is trying to arrange a conference in West University-Place with David Pugh, Attorney and Director of Planning at the University, members of the Zoning and .Planning Commission and the City Council. Mr. Kendrick excused himself from meeting turning the meeting over to Mr. Bettler. Mr. Bettler and Mr. Norton completed a draft of rezoning of 2600 and 2700 blocks of Wroxton Road to be presented to members of the Commission at its re- gular meeting on Thursday, June 9, 1983. With no further business to come before the Commission upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN ATTEST: SECRETARY
