HomeMy WebLinkAbout10131983 ZPC Minutes~ ~ ~ i , ,~ REGULAR MEETING ZONING & PLANNING COMMTSSI:ON OCTOBER 13, :1983 * ~ ~ ~ ~ * * * * * * ~ ~ * * ~ ~ ~ ~ The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place convened in regular session, Tfiursday, October 13, 1983 at 7:30 p.m., witli the following members~present: Viee-Chairman Bettler, Mr~~Norton, Mr. 0'Leary. Also the Building Inspector, Wayne Perry and tfie^Director of Public Safety, Chief Snitkin was also present. Vice-Chairman Bettler introduced himself and gave his address in the City, followed by othei~-members, ascertained from the secretary that Notice of Meeting had been posted in tfie City Hall on October 7, 1983. . Hearing of Residents: Mr. Ferd Reiger asked if any new criter-ia was : submitted to tfie Zoning and Planning Commission concerning Ordinance ~~1212. Mr. 0'Leary stated that the Commission fiad a discussion with the City Attorney to clarify the new-Ordinance ~~1212 alone with State Statute 4~974A. And that the guidelines for tlie Co~ission making their decision for subdivision applications was discussed extensively. But tfiat no new criteria was submitted. Hal Zimmerman witfi Zest Homes questioned the Board about living space in the rear yard of residential property. After discussion on proposed zoning ordinance amendments, Mr. Norton made a motion to tiold for furtfier consideration. The motion was seconded by Mr. 0'Leary. Voting,Aye: Be~.tler Voting No: None Norton 0'Leary ~ Mr. Norton asked the Building Inspector, Mr. Wayne Perry to be present upon discussion of proposed zoning ordinance amendments.at the next regular scheduled meeting. Mr. 0'Leary asked that all proposed zoning ordinance amendments be~incorporated into.one document. Mr. Wayne Perry, Building Inspector questioned the Co~ission and pointed out some problems existing in the proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance. The Co~ission asked that the minutes be considered in the next regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission. With no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting ad~ourned at 9:15-,p.m. _•
