SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 5, 1985

The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City ~West University Place
convened in "Workshop" session at the 8~~'~*-H Y, Tuesday, November 5, 1985
with the following members present:
Reid Wilson, Chairperson
Stephen Munisteri ~
Robert Lindsey
George Ruhlen
Buddy Bell ~

Notice of Meeting was posted in the City Hall on Friday, November 1, 1985
in accordance with Sta te Statutes.
Chairperson Wilson informed the Commission members that the City Council
had requested copies of all Zoning and Planning Commis~sion minutes from
previous meetings.
~ Chairperson Wilson also advised Commission members that there was an inquiry
from Mr. Joel Oshfeldt and Mr. McCann for rezoning. Mr. Oshfeldt informed
Chairperson Wilson that they had an option to acquire the Triangle Refining
Building on Kirby and Nottingham. They want to renovate the existing building
for "mixed use", i.e. retail, restaurant and office complex. They also have
an option to acquire two single family residences (next to the Triangle Refin-
ing building), and would want to rezone for parking. Chairperson Wilson
advised that they must make a formal application for rezoning before any
action could be taken.
Hearing of Residents: There wer.e no matters or inquiries to bring before
the Commission.
The meeting then turned to review and discuss consideration of resolutions
passed by the City Council on:
(1) Resolution No. 85-24 - Certain proposed amendments
to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of West Univer-
sity Place.
(2) Resolution No. 85-25 - Relating to certain building
permits during a temporary period pending the con-
sideration of proposed amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of West University Place.
(3) To consider various changes of Zoning Ordinance No. 111
~ as it relates to construction uses and various changes
in the retail, office and professional business classi-
~ fications.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
