The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place ~con-
vened in regular session in the Parish Hall, St. George Orthodox Church, 5311
Mercer Street, City of West University Place on Thursday, April 10, 1986 at
8:15 p.m. with the following members present: Chairperson Reid Wilson, George
Ruhlen, Charles Lusk and Stephen Munisteri. City Attorney, James L. Dougherty,
was also present.
Notice of Meeting was posted on Monday, April 7, 1986 in accordance with State
Statutes.
Hearing of Residents: There were no matters or inquiries to bring before the
Commission.
The minutes of December 19, 1985 and January 9, 1986 were reviewed by the Com-
mission; minutes of the February 13, 1986 meeting are to be amended.
Motion by Mr. Ruhlen, seconded by Mr. Lusk to adopt minutes as submitted;
approved unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lusk, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that Notice of Meeting and Agenda
be prepared and mailed to Commission members prior to the next scheduled meet-
ing each month; approved unanimously.
Members reviewed the tree regulations and held a discussion on the type of trees,
location of trees on a lot, etc. It was decided that Mr. Lusk would submit a
draft of the tree regulations at a later date.
City Attorney, James L. Dougherty, distributed a--draft"of the Planned Develop-
ment District requirements to the Commission members for their review. A general
discussion was held on the different studies that would be--needeii: .
The Commission continued a discussion concerning the Long Range Planning Committee's
recommendation regarding the development on Brompton and Bellaire, a.retirement
center, requesting the Zoning and Planning Commission to either rezone, spot zoning,
zone for a specific use, etc. .
Motion by Mr. Munisteri, seconded by Mr Lusk, to adjourn meeting at 9:25 p.m.
