The Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of West University Place convened
in regular session in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 3800 University Boule-
vard, Houston, Texas, on Thursday, July 10, 1986 at 7:30 p.m. with the following
members present: Chairperson Reid Wilson, presiding; Stephen Munisteri, Robert
Lindsey and George Ruhlen. City Attorney, James L. Dougherty, Jr., was also
present.
Notice of Meeting was posted in the City Hall on July 7, 1986 in accordance with
State Statutes.
Hearing of Residents: There were no matters or inquiries to bring before the
Commission.
The meeting then turned to discuss the adoption of the proposed updated zoning
map for the City of West University Place. Chairperson Reid made a motion to
adopt the proposed zoning map and recommend that a title block be added on;
motion seconded by Mr..Lindsey and passed unanimously.
Mr. Wilson.presented'. a draft of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of West Univ-
ersity Place to Commission members. After reviewing the draft, the members and
the City Attorney held'a general discussion of the proposed plan. A motion was
made by Mr. Munisteri to tentatively approve the concept and the basic contents
of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of West University Place as proposed, sub-
. ject to review by the City Attorney, Louis Sklar of the Long Range Planning Com-
mission and City staff;.motion seconded by Mr. Ruhlen and passed unanimously.
Commission members reviewed the rules and regulations relating to a Planned
Development District. A motion was made by Mr. Ruhlen, seconded by Mr. Lindsey,
to adopt the rules and regulations as proposed; passed unanimously.
A discussion was held by Commission members regarding tree regulations in the
City of West University Place. A motion was made by Mr. Munisteri for the
establishment of a tree sub-committee, chaired~by Commissioner Susan Rachlin;
seconded by Mr. Li~Idsey and passed unanimously.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
