The Zoning and Planning Commission

meeting with Zoning Board of Adjustme:

Members of Zoning Board of Adjustments
Notice of ineeting was posted in the City
University Place, Texas at least seventy-two
preceding the day of the meeting as required by

1. Hearing of Residents:
No residents wished to be heard.
2. Zoning Matters:

Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board
of Adjustment reviewed the "special exception" and "variance"
provisions of the new Zoning Ordinance. Reid C. Wilson,
George Ruhlen, Robert Lindsey and Charles Lusk, being members
of the Planning and Zoning Commission which recommended the
new Zoning Ordinance discussed background and reasoning for
the "special exception" and "variance" provisions of the new
Zoning O.rdinance to assist the Zoning Board of Adjustment in
its interpretation of those provisions and the various re-
lated provisions of the new Zoning Ordinance. James L.
Dougherty, City Attorney, distributed and reviewed a summary
of the "special exception" and "variance" provisions, the

• cantent of which was reviewed and approved by the Zoning and
Planning Commission as accurately setting forth the intention
of the new Zoning Ordinance.
3. Other Matters:
No other matters for discussions.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 o'clock p.m.
