INFORMAL SESSION
MONDAY, MARCH 13, 1989
MUNICIPAL BUILDING
3800 UNIVERSITY BLUD.
6:30 P.M.
General Appeals Board convened in informal session in the Municipal
Building, 3800 University Boulevard, in the City of West University
Place, on Monday, March 13, 1989, with the following members present:
Philip C. Lewis, John M, Farrell, Nicholas J. Aschliman, and Sharon
Matthews. Also present were Curtis R. Cooper, Director of Operations;
James L. Dougherty, City Attorney; and Wayne E. Perry, Chief Building
Inspector. As this was an introductory meeting, each member and staff
introduced themselves.
ITEMS PRESENTED FOR DISCUSSION
1. Meeting schedule, time, date, etc.
a) Second Monday, of each month

3. Deadline for submission of application to General Appeals
Board will be the last working day of each month.
4. Jim Dougherty, City Attorney, passed out information
regarding conflict of interest and discussed briefly the
necessary procedures and reasons for the establishment of the
Board.
5. General discussion was held of items that may be
forthcoming. All members and alternates will be attending
the first few meetings to become familiar with the process.
General Appeals Board informal meeting ended at approximately 7:25 P.M.
so all could attend Council Meeting to be sworn in by the Mayor.
