Notice of Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) and Members of the City Council
will meet in Regular Session on:
Thursday June 20, 2002 6:30 r.M.
Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room
3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas 77005
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of ineeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the agenda will be
permitted to speak to the ZBA after introducing themselves and giving their address. State law will not
permit the ZBA to fully discuss debate or consider items that are not on the agenda. Items that cannot be
referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on the agenda of a future ZBA meeting.
3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda items will be
permitted to speak to the ZBA after introducing themselves and giving their address.
~ 4. Public Hearing of Docket 02-05 (Special Exception/Variance). Request for a Special Exception
regarding Article 7, Table 7-6, Note 5 Garages in Side Yards, (c). The Table regarding a garage in a side
yard mandates that the garage be built at least 70 feet from the front property line. The request for the
Special Exception is to allow construction of the garage 60 feet from the front property line in order to
preserve a large, existing pecan tree.
Request for a Variance regarding Article 7, Table 7-6, Note 5 Garages in Side Yards (c). The request for
a variance is to allow construction of a garage 60 feet instead of the required 70 feet from the front
property line to preserve a large existing pecan tree.
5. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the meeting held on April 18, 2002.
6. Adjournment.

The Municipal Building is wheel chair accessible from the west entrance and specially marked
