REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
MARCH 22, 1977
The Zoning Board of Adjustment convened in regular session at the City Hall on
Tuesday, March 22, 1977, 7:30 p.m., with the following members present: Chair-
man Casey, presiding; members Billings, Johnson and Wilkins. Alternate member
Doughty was also present and had been designated to sit as a member in the ab-
sence of Mr. Ayres. Alternate member Burge was also present.
Mr. Casey advised the Board that the meeting had been called to consider evidence
submitted by Mrs. Rosemary Toomey Thomas in accordance with action of the Zoning
Board of Adjustment on July 25, 1974 granting Mrs. Thomas a variance declaring
„~ Lot 4A, Block 73, West University 2nd Addition as a building site with less than
~, a 50 ft. front building line, provided that she exercise an option to purchase
~ an additional 1200 square feet of property as outlined in letters from the Harris
County Flood Control District, dated May 7, 1974 and May 29, 1974, and furnishes the
Cq Zoning Board of Adjustment a certified plat showing all newly defined property lines
C4 and easements after acquisition of the additional 1200 square feet of property.
Submitted as evidence of compliance with the requirements of the Zoning Board
of Adjustment were a Quitclaim Deed conveying from Harris County Flood Control
.District to Rosemary Toomey the following described property:
The East eight (8) feet of the West twenty (20) feet of Lot 4A,
Block 73, of the Second Addition to West University Place, ac-
cording to the map or plat of said addition of record in Volume
538 at Page 150 of the Harris County Deed Records.
The West 20 feet mentioned above is the same 20 foot strip of
land described in instrument of record in Volume 2838 at Page
281 of the Harris County Deed Records.
Also submitted as evidence were field notes covering the tract of land and a
survey of the property prepared by McKnight Engineering Corporation.
Motion by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Wilkins, that all requirements of the
Zoning Board of Adjustment had been satisfied and the city's Building Inspec-
tor authorized to issue a building permit subject to other city ordinances.

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment held on
Thursday, February 24, 1977, were presented to the Board for consideration.
Motion by Mr. Billings, seconded by Mr. Johnson, that minutes of the regular
meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Thursday, February 24, 1977, be
approved as submitted.

With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
