SPECIAL MEETING OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
May 28, 1976
The Zoning Board of Adjustment convened in special session on May 28,
1976, 7:30 p.m., at the City Hall with the following members present:
Chairman Casey, presiding; members Ayres and Johnson. Alternate member
Doughty had been designated to sit as a member in the absence of Mr.
Billings and Mr. Wilkins. Alternate member Burge was also absent.
Chairman Casey advised the Board that a request had been recieved
from Dr. Ted Pate to re-consider his application Docketed 76-6 for
permission to construct a carport.
Motion by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Ayres, that a letter received from
Dr. Ted. Pate, dated. May 25 , 1976, be considered to determine if additional
evidence presented to call a re-hearing on his application.

The following letter was presented:
Zoning Board of Adjustment
City of West University Place
Gentlemen:
On May 20, 1976 my application for a variance to construct
a carport at 4222 Tennyson was denied. I feel that this denial
may have been due to the lack of sufficient evidence of the need
for such a structure. I hope that the attached information will
provide this additional evidence. Therefore, at this time I am
requesting a rehearing concerning my application.

Members of the Board considered the evidence submitted by Dr. Pate.
Motion by Mr. Doughty, seconded by Mr, Johnson, that a request fora re-
hearing submitted by Dr. Ted D. Pate be denied inasmuch as no new evidence
was presented.
