REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
OCTOBER~17, T966
The Zoning Board of Adjustment convened in regular session at the City Ha11
at 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 17, 1966, with the following members present:
Chairman Snyder, presiding; Members Frank, Livermore, Murff and Whenthoff.
Alternate Member Reinhart was also present.
Chairman Snyder announced that a public hearing had been called for 7:30 p.m.
to consider Docket No. 66-2, filed on September 28, 1966 by Dr. Roy H. D.
Harris, 2922 Bellaire Boulevard. He stated that notice of hearing had been
~ published in the Young World Section of the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday,
~+ October 5, 1966, and notices mailed to all property owners within 200 feet
?~ of the property on October 5, 1966.
There being no property owners present to be heard, Chairman Snyder asked
Dr. Harris to come .forward and present his information in connection with
his application. Dr. Harris presented drawings, plans and photographs,
showing a cement and brick structure which he proposed to construct to extend
ten feet past the established building line in this block. He stated that
he desired to construct the wall for privacy from Bellaire Boulevard, and
that he would like for it to extend across the patio, as shown on his drawings,
and back to the house, to enclose this area. He stated that his only neighbor
in the block had a fence which extended all the way to the street, and as far
as he knew, she had no opposition to this construction. There being no further
questions by Board members, Chairman Snyder advised Dr. Harris that the Board
would go into executive session, and that he would be notified of their de-
cision within two days on the Official Form No. 3 of the Board. Dr. and Mrs.
Harris left the meeting at this time.
Motion by Mr. Frank, seconded by Mr. Whenthoff, that the Public Hearing be
closed.
Voting Aye: Snyder, Frank, Livermore, Murff and Whenthoff
Voting No: None
After some discussion, the following action was taken. Motion by Mr. Livermore,
seconded by Mr. Murff, that the proposed structure as shown in the plans and
drawings submitted by Dr. Harris be approved by the Zoning Board of Adjustment
inasmuch as the Board finds this to be no violation of the Zoning Ordinance.
Voting Aye: Snyder, Frank, Livermore, Murff and Whenthoff
Voting No: None
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
