REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
DECEMBER 20, 1965
The Zoning Board of Adjustment convened in regular session at the City Ha]1
on Monday, December 20, 1965, 7:30 p.m., with the following members present:
Vice Chairman Livermore, presiding; members Frank, Murff and Whenthoff.
Application number 65-10, dated November 1, 1965, was presented to the Board
for consideration. This was the request of Mr. John N. Neighbors, 2$09
Wroxton Road, for permission to construct a hobby room and workshop, attached
to his existing garage building. Applicant request appeal from decision of
the Building Inspector who refused the permit inasmuch as the size of the
structure exceeds 100 square feet and the proposed interior finishing of
the room would be such that it could possibly be converted to living quarters
which would be in violation of the ordinance. Applicant request permit to
construct the room for extra space for washer and dryer and for his wife to
use for her hobby which is ceramic work.
After consideration of all information available, the following action was
taken by the Board:
Motion by Mr. Murff, seconded by Mr. Frank, that the decision of the Building
Inspector be reversed, and that the applicant be permitted to construct the
hobby room and workshop addition to his garage, in accordance with the plans
submitted to the Building Inspector on November 1, 1965, inasmuch as the Board
interprets the Zoning Ordinance to permit such construction, provided the ap-
plicant executes an affidavit that the structure will never be rented, used
for living quarters or used for any commercial purposes.
Voting Aye: Members Livermore, Frank, Murff and Whenthoff
Voting No: None
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
