REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING BOARD OF A1~TUSTMENT
MAY 18, 1864
The Zoning Board of Adjustment convened in regular session at the City
Hall on Monday, May 18, 1864, with the following members present:
Chairman 0. P. Gill, presiding; Members Livermore, Snyder and Whenthoff.
Mr. Haralson was absent.
The first matter of business was the reading of the minutes of the last
regular meeting on April 20, 1864.
The Board received by mail a request from Mrs. Mabel M. Jackson, 6544
Brompton, for permission to install 220 wiring in the existing garage
apartment located at this address, on a lot 100 X 112 feet, in District
VII-A, so that she might install an air conditioner and a dryer.- She
stated. in the application that her neice and her husband are now occu-
pying the garage apartment. Building permit records show the garage
apartment was constructed in November, 1840 as a servants' quarters.
Mrs. Jackson stated that the structure had existed for more than 35
years and before the present zoning regulations were in effect.
The Board decided that in the absence of Mrs. Jackson's personal appear-
ance in her own behalf, and inasmuch as (1) the facts which the Board
had received from the Building Inspection Department in relation to
the date that the apartment was constructed, were in variance with the
facts presented by Mrs. Jackson in her application; and (2) a plot
plan was not submitted by Mrs. Jackson, showing the dimensions of the
lot as well as all improvements on the lot, as required in the appli-
cation form, they would take no action on Mrs. Jackson's request at
this time.
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned at
g:00 p.m.
