Public Hearing to consider application 484-11 from Rosetta Fatherree to extend bathroom into the rear yard on Lot 21 & E1' of Lot 20 Block 2 Sunset Terrace Addition ~~2 3700 Nottingham was opened. Mr. and Mrs. Fatherree explained they were doing some remodeling to the house when the Inspector found that a bathroom built into an existing garage and under same roof with entrance from den was in violation of zoning as it was in living space in rear 20 feet of property. They stated this construction was there when they bought the property. The following letter was read into the minutes: "November 12, 1984 The Zoning Board of Adjustment City of West University Place. 3800 W. University Blvd. Houston, Texas 77005 Attn: Lee Lockard City Secretary Dear Neighbors: I understand that the Office of Inspection, City of West University Place, has ruled that a bathroom on the north end of the house located at 3700 Nottingham, the property of Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Fatherree, may encroach upon the."rear yard area." I do not consider such an encroachment, if it is in deed one, a problem for my property. In fact, I believe the Fatherrees' to be extensively remodel- ing and upgrading 3700 Nottingham which should benefit the whole area.
