REGULAR MEETING
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
JUNE 20, 1984
The Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of West University Place, Texas
met in regular session on Wednesday, June 20, 1984, 7:30 p.m. with the follow-
ing members present: Chairperson Billings, presiding; members Fougerat, Fro-
men and Petronella.
Notice of Meeting was posted in the City Hall on June 15, 1984; Notice of Public
Hearing was published in the Houston Chronicle on June 4, 1984 and Notice to In-
terested Property Owners mailed on June 1, 1984.

Board members introduced themselves and gave their addresses in the City and
Chairman Billings administered the oath to those desiring to speak on application
~~84-6.
Public hearing for a re-hearing on application 84-6 from George Berg on
S50' of E112' of Lot 1
Block 9
WUP 1st Addition

was opened.
Mr. Berg presented new evidence relating to the construction of the premises,
showing that the encroachment was over the one story garage, and that it
would not result in any real encroachment.
Additional evidence was presented to show that the encroachment was unintentional..
Motion made, seconded and carried, to close public hearing.
Public hearing to consider rehearing application 484-8 from Jim and Nita Short
to extend into the side setback on Kirby Street side to build fireplace, carport
and workshop on
Lot 9
Block 2
Pemberton Addition
2604 Fenwood

was opened.

Mr. and 11rs. Short presented plans containing modifications of those pre-
viously submitted and presented evidence to show hardship of remodeling by
adjoining townhouses and noise and traffic factor on Kirby Drive.
Motion made, seconded and carried, to close public hearing.
Board members discussed rehearing application from George Berg.
Motion was made, seconded and carried, that rehearing application from George
Berg on

be granted.

Discussion by Board memebers on rehearing application 484-8 from Jim and
Nita Short.
Motion was made, seconded and carried, that application ~~84-8 from Jim and
Nita Short to extend into the side setback on Kirby Drive side to build a
fireplace, carport and workshop on

be granted per specifications and plans as submitted and on file in the
Inspection office of the City of West University Place.
