REGULAR SESSION AUGUST 4, 1994
The Building and Standards Commission convened in the Municipal
Building, 3800 University Blvd. in the City of West University
Place on August 4, 1994 for a regular session with the following
members present: James Todd, Craig Hughes, Roy Harper & Evelyn
Dravis. Chairman Drew McManigle was present via telephone.
Also present from the City were: Dennis Holm, Chief Building
Official and Susan Thorn, Building Secretary.
l. Hearing of Residents: none present
2. Consideration of property located at 6328 Buffalo Speedway,
north 1/2 of Block 4, Block 21, West University Place lst Addition
filed by Tim Hemphill, a request for a variance to have a return
air grille more than 10" above the finished floor as required by
the Code of Ordinances.
Tim Hemphill was present to explain his request. Also present was
his general contractor, Jerry Wilson of Supervisors Plus.

After a brief discussion Evelyn Dravis made a motion to grant the
variance. This motion was seconded by James Todd. All Voting

The members briefly discussed the new foundation letter.
James Todd made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 7,
1994 meeting with amendments. This motion was seconded by James
McDaniel. All Voting Aye.
Roy Harper made a motion to adjourn. This motion was seconded by
James Todd. All Voting Aye.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
