~ Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will meet in Regular
Session on:
Thursday, April 4, 2002
6:00 P.M.
Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room
3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of ineeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the
agenda will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address. State law will not permit the BSC to fully discuss debate or consider items that are
not on the agenda. Items that cannot be referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on
~ the agenda of a future BSC meeting.

items will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address.
4. Designation of voting members. Matters relating to the designation of Voting Members for
this meeting.
5. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the March 7, 2002
meeting.
6. Independent Review of Construction Plans. Matters relating to a recommendation to
Council that the City engage outside professional engineering services to review those
portions of construction plans that have been sealed by a Licensed Professional Engineer
with the intent of verifying the design.
7. Building Standards Questionnaire/Survey. Matters relating to a recommendation to
Council for the City to conduct a survey of residents regarding their opinions about the
construction of their homes by contractors.
8. Standard Code Schedule Amendments. Matters relating to the review of existing Standard
• ~ Code Amendments with the intent of removing those that are no longer serving their intent or
that are in conflict with the International Code.
