Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members~
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will meet in Regular
Session on:
Thursday, May 1st, 2003
6:00 P.M.
Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room
3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of ineeting.
2. Citizens ~vho wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the
agenda will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address. State law will not permit the BSC to f.ully discuss debate or consider items that are
• not on the agenda. Items that cannot be referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on
the agenda of a future BSC meeting.
3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda
items wil.l be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address.
4. Designation of voting members. Matters relating to the designation of Voting Members for
this meeting.
5. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to meeting minutes from the April 3, 2003 BSC
meetings.
6. Variance Request. Matters relating to a variance request to finish out an unfinished attic for
the use of a game room and storage at 4223 University Blvd. Applicant Mr. Gregory S. and
Angela M. Ethier.
7. Special Session. Matters related to a request for Special Session of the Building and
Standards Commission. Applicants Jeanie Eymontt and Sam Ioannidis.
8. Framed Area. Matter relating to framed azea and the calculation of the 80% of the lot azea.
~ 9. Fences. General discussion of Chapter 6, Subchapter I- Fences to identify items of concern
and propose modifications to current standards.
10. July Meeting Date. Matters relating to setting an alternate July meeting date for the Regular
Session of the Building and Standards Commission.
