Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will meet in Regular
Session on:
Thursday, October 2nd, 2003
6:00 P.M.
Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room
3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005
The su6jects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of ineeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the
agenda will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
addiess. State law will not permit the BSC to fully discuss debate or consider items that aze
not on the agenda. Items that cannot be refened to the City Staff for action may be placed on
the agenda of a future BSC meeting.
• 3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda
items will be pernutted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address.
4. Designation of voting members. Matters relating to the designation of Voting Members for
this meeting.
5. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to meeting minutes from the September 4`~', 2003 BSC
meeting.
6. Fences. General discussion of Chapter 6, Subchapter I- Fences to identify items of concern
and propose modifications to current standazds.
7. Framing Requirements. Matters related to first floor framing requirements.
8. Fire Rated and Rot Resistant Materials. Matters relating to general discussion of fire
rated and rot resistant materials.
9. Staff Comments and Status Reports. (Non-action items regazding inquiries by staf~
.10. Commission Member Comments. (Non-action items regazding inquiries by
Commissioners)
