Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
August 5th, 2004
Beginning at 6:00 P.M.
In the Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room, .
Located at 3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005.
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:

1. Notices, Rutes, Etc. Matters relating to notices, rules, meeting procedures and identifying
parties.
2. Workshon Minutes. Matters relating to the Foundation Workshop minutes from July 20th,
2004 and July 27", 2004 BSC meetings.
• 3. Meetin~ Minutes. Matters relating to meeting minutes from the July 1 st, 2004 BSC
meeting.
4. Matters Relatin~ to the Buildin~ Standard Commission Recommendations and Status
Renort• A) Status of 3840 Ruskin Street. B) Status and discussion of building materials and
ordinance amendments.
5. Quasiiudicial Enforcement Proceedins. Matters relating to a quasijudicial enforcement
proceeding located at 2630 Tangley Street.
6. Elevations. Matters relating to minimum first floor elevations above the BFE.
7. Foundations. Matters relating to foundations, soil testing, piers, etc. A) Discussion of the
revisions to the Foundation Draft. B) Ordinance wording concerning soil reports, piers and
foundations. C) Related matters.
8. Old Stock Housin~. Matters .relating to old stock houses. A) Review of status report from
Brian Hoogendam on Old Stock Housing.
