HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2005-10 ( R.ESOLUTION NUMBER 2005~lU A RESOL.UTION APPOINTING MUNIClPAL COURT~ PERSONNEL FOR TI-IE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AN""D PROVISIONS .RELA TING TO TH.E SUBJECT~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That the following persons are appointed for positions in the Municipal Court of the City of West .UITiversity P.Jace, Texas, with ternlS of office as fo.llows: APPOINTEE POSITION TERM .ENDING kfi J ~1-c:lL,i Associate Judge (Division 2) August 31, 2007 Assistant Prosecutor N/ A Section 2. That such officers are hereby vested with all powers and duties as set forth .in the Charter of the City of West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas pertain ing to his appoi ntlnent and shall receive con, pensatioll as Inay be authorized by the City Council :fiAolTI tinle to tinle. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the con'flicts onlYA Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause) sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution or the appI ication thereof to any person or cirCllnlstance~ shan ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of cOlnpetent jurisdiction, the relnainder of this resolution and the application of such word~ phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to any other persons or c.ircumstances shall .not be affected thereby. Section 7. The City Council officially tinds~ deterlnines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour~ place and subject of each t.neeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the 111anner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, as alnended, and that each sllch rneeting has been open to the public as required by law at all tinles 8uring such discuss.ion, consideration and action.
