A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PARKS AND R.ECREA TION BOA'RD
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section ]. That the fo Ilo\v ing persons are appo inted to serve as (nelTI bers of the Parks and
Recreation Board for a specific tenn of the specific position ind icated below, under and SlI bject to
Chapter 2, as last 81nended by Ord inance 1 751 .

Section 2. Each board or COlTIlnission is requested to nOlninate a slate of other officers to
be approved by the City Council.
Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of the con f1 icts on Iy.
Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution or the application thereof to any person or cirCuIllstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of COlnpetent jurisdiction, the renlainder of this resolution and the
application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to
any other persons or CirClUTIstances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 5. The City Council officially finds, detenn ines and declares that a sufficient
written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each tneeting at wh ich th is resolution \vas
discussed~ considered or acted upon was given in the nlanner required by the Texas Open Meetings
Act, as alnended, and that each such lneeting has been open to the public as required by ]a\,y at all titTIes
during such discussion, consideration and action. The City Counci I ratifies, approves and con:firms
such notices and the contents and posting thereof.
