CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE
POOR FARM DITCH AND KILMARNOCK DITCH REGIONAL STUDY
WHEREAS, tIle Poor Farm and Killnarl10ck Regional Stlldy (PFKRS) is a
collaborative regional stu.dy process initiated. to idel1tify potential il11}JfOVements to
Poor Farlu and !Zilman1oclc ditclles and to researc11 and evalllate the overall process of

WHEREAS, study group participal1ts and citizens from tIle City of West
University Place l1ave reviewed. teclmical infofll1atiol1, improvemellt concepts, and
estimated costs for recolnnlended actions to address problenls along tllese ditclles;
WHEREAS, the City of West University Place wishes to thanl( the Harris
COl111ty Flood COl1trol District (H.C.F.C.D.) for organizing and llosting th,e study
process, including COllllllunity nleetil1gs tlrrOllg.hout tIle stud.yarea.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT,
Th.e City of West Ul1iversity Place supports tile preliluillary recommendations ofth.e
Poor Farm al1d IZillnarnock. Regiollal Study Group, desires to Ineet and confer with
the H.C.F.C.D. about tIle need for and cost of Initigation, and recol11mends
proceeding to tIle l1ext level of tIle process.
