A RESOLUTION APPOINT.ING A DEPUTY COU..RT CLERK FOR THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
NOW, THERE.FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1 ~ That the following person is appointed as a Deputy Court Clerk of the
City of West University Place, Texas, with terlTIS of office where applicable, as follows:

Section 2. That such officer is hereby vested with all powers and duties as set fOlth
in the Chatter of the City of West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas
pertaining to his appointlnent and shall receive compensation as may be authorized by the City
Council fr01TI time to tilne.
Section 3. That sllch officer shall also serve after the expiration of their tenn of
office until their successor is appointed and shall have qualified.
Section 4. That this appointInent made by this resolution shall take effect
iInlnediately upon passage and approval hereof
Section 5. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only.
Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence~ paragraph, section or other part of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirCU111stance, shall ever be held to be
i.nval id or unconstitutional by any COUlt of COlnpetent jurisd iction, the relnai nder of this reso I utian
and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected therebYA
Section 7. The City Council officially finds, deterlnines and declares that a sufficient
.written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each lneeting at which this resolution was
discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open
Meetings Act, as alnended, and that each sllch Ineeting has been open to the public as required by
law at all times during such discussion, consideration and action~ The City Council ratifies,
approves and COnfirlTIS such notices and the contents and posting thereof
