RESOLUTION NO~ 2003-10
RESOLUTION PROPOSING A TAX RATE AND
SCHEDULING PUBLIC HERARINGS; AND CONTAINING
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT
Section 1. The City COlll1Cil fOflnally proposes a combined ad valorem tax rate
for 2003 of $~.'i1t: / . This proposal shall be placed 011 the agenda of a futllre meeting as
an action itelu, subject to the hearing scheduled below.
Section 2. A public l1earing on the proposed tax rate is 'hereby scl1edllled for
September 29, 2003 ill the Council Chambers, 3800 University Blvd.., West U11iversity
Place, Texas 77005 during tile City Council meeting set to begin at 6:30 p.lll.. The
Finance Director al1d City Secretary shall malce arral1gelnellts for the meetil1g al1d s11all
provide notice as required by law. A l1earing 011 tIle proposed. lTIunicipal blldget is llereby
called for tIle same meeting.
Section 3. All prior resolutions and parts of resolutiol1S ill conflict 11erewith are
hereby repealed to tIle extent of the conflict only.
Section 4. If any work, phrase, clause, senten.ce, paragrapll, section or otller part
oftllis resolution or the application tllereofto aI1Y perSOll or circumstance, sllall ever be
held to be invalid or unconstitutiol1al by any court of competent jurisdiction, the
remainder of this resolution and tIle application of suell wor!<, pluase, clause, selltence,
paragrapll, sectioll or otIler part of this resolution to any otller persolls or CirCl1111stal1ces
shall 110t be affected. tllereby.
Section 5. The City Council officially fillds, deterluines and declares t11at a
Sllfficient written notice of the date, 11ol1r, place and sllbject of eacll meeting at Wllicll tllis
resolution was discussed, COl1sidered or acted upon was given in tIle mamler required by
tIle Texas Open Meetillgs Law, as amended, and that each such meeting l1as been open to
tile public as required by law at all times during SllCll discussion, consideration and
action. T11e City COl111Cil ratifies, approves and confirms SU.cll11otices and tIle contents
