A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBE.RS TO THE RECYCLING AND SOLID WASTE
REDUCTION BOARD
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1 ~ That the following persons are appointed to serve as 111eolbers of the Recycling and
Solid Waste Reduction Board for a specific term of the specific position indicated below~ under and subject
to Chapter 2, as last atnended by Ordinance 1686~

Section 2. Each board or cOlnmission is requested to nOlninate a slate of other officers to be
approved by the City Council.
Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of the conflicts on ly.
Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirClUTIstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of cOlnpetent jurisdiction, the renlainder of this resolution and the application
of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to any other persons
or circumstances shall not be affected thereby~
Section 5. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient written
notice of the date, hour, p:lace and subject of each lneeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered
or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, as alnended, and that each
such Ineetillg has been open to the public as required by law at all til11eS during such discuss.ion,
consideration and action. The City Council ratifies, approves and confirms such notices and the contents
and posting thereof.
