RESOLUTION NUMBER 2003-19:
A R"ESOL"U"TION APPOIN"TING MUNICIPAL COURT PERSONNEL FOR THE CITY OF
WEST "UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELA TING TO THE SUBJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1. That the following persons are appointed for positions "in the Municipal
Court of the City of West University Place, Texas, with tenTIS of office as follows:

Section 2. That such officers are hereby vested with all powers and duties as set
fOlth in the Charter of the City of "West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas
pertaining to his appoinhnent and shall receive COtnpensation as nlay be authorized by the City
Council from titne to tilne.
Section 3. Each shall also serve after the expiration of their tenus of office until their
successors are appointed and shall have qualified.
Section 4. That this appointtnent lnade by tl1 is resolution shall take effect
ilTIlnediately upon passage and approval hereof.
Section 5. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in confl ict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only&
Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirCll1nstance~ shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of COlnpetent jurisdiction, the ren1ainder of this resoluti.on
and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution to any other persons or c"irCllffistances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 7. The City Council officially finds, deterlnines and declares that a sufficient
written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at which this resolution was
discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open
Meetings Act, as an1ended, and that each such Ineeting has been open to the public as required by
law at all tilnes during such discussion, consideration and action. The City Council rati-fies,
approves and confinns such notices and the contents and posting thereof
