A RESOLUTION APPOINTING, REAPPOINTING AND CONFIRMING MUNICIP AL
COURT PERSONN'EL FOR THE CITY OF WEST UNIV.ERSITY PLACE, T,EXAS; AN.D
CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCa OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1 ~ That the following persons are appointed, reappointed and confirnled for
positions in the Municipal Court of the City of West University Place, Texas, with terms of office
where applicable, as follo\vs:

Section 2. That such officers are hereby vested with all po\vers and duties as set
fOlth in the Charter of the City of West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas
peltaining to his appointJnent and shall receive cOlnpensation as Inay be authorized by the City
Council frOlll tilue to tilne.
Section 3. :Each shall also serve after the expiration of their tenns of office until their
successors are appointed and shall have qualified.
Section 4. That this appointrnent Inade by this resolution shall take effect
ilnmediately upon passage and approval hereof
Section 5. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only.
Sect i 0 11 6. I f any word, phrase, c 1 allse, sentence, paragraph, secti 0 n or other palt of
this resolution or the appHcation thereof to any person or circtunstance, shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of COlnpetent jurisdiction, the relnainder of this resolution
and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution to any other persons or circulustances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 7. The City Council officially finds, deterrnines and declares that a sufficient
written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each Ineeting at which this resolution was
discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open
Meetings Act, as amended, and that each sllch Ineeting has been open to the public as required by
law at all titues during such discussion, consideration and actiol1~ The City Council ratifies,
approves and confirn1s such notices and the contents and posting thereof.
