A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS CASTING ITS BALLOT FOR THE ELECTION
OF A PERSON TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE HARRIS COUNTY
APPRAISAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the chief appraiser of the Harris County Appraisal District, Harris County,
Texas, has delivered to the mayor of this city the names of those persons dllly nomillated as
candidates to serve in that position on tIle board of directors of the Harris County Appraisal
District, representing and to be filled by the cities other t11ml the City of Houston participating in
said appraisal district; and
WHEREAS, this city deems it appropriate and in the public interest to cast its vote for tIle
candidate of its clloice to fill such position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section l~ That the facts and recitations set forth in tIle preamble of this resolution be,
and they are here"by, adopted, ratified, and confumed.
Section 2~ That the City of West University Place cast its vote, and it does hereby cast its
vote, for Walter J. Kronzer. III to fill the position on the board of directors of the Harris
County Appraisal District, representing and to be filled by the cities, other than the City of
Hotlston, participating in the appraisal district.
Section 3. That the mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to deliver or
cause to be delivered an executed or certified copy of this resolution to the cllief appraiser of the
Harris County Appraisal District before December 15,20034
Section 4. All resollltions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only.
Section 5" If any word, phrase~ clause~ sentence~ paragrap"h~ section or other part of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirCUlTIstance, shall ever be held_ tl2.. be
illvalid or unconstitutional by IDlY court of COlllpetent jurisdiction, the remainder of tllis
resolution and tile application of SUC11 word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or otller
part of this resolutioll to any other persons or CirCUlTIstances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 6. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient
written notice of tIle date, hour, place aJId subject of eacll meetillg at whicl1 this resollltion was
discllssed, considered or acted upon was given in the lllanner required "by tIle Texas Open
Meetil1gs Act, as amended, and tllat each such meeting l1as been opell to tIle public as required by
law at all times dtlring such disCllSsiol1, consideratio""n and action. The City COllllCil ratifies,
approves and confirllls such 110tices alld tIle contents and posting thereof.
