HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2003-31 RESOLUTION NUlVIBER 2003-3'1 A :RESOLUTION .REAPPOINTING AND CONFIRMING D.EPUTY COURT CLERI( FOR TI-IE CITY OF WEST UNIVE'RSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FIN'.DINGS AN'.D PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That the foI 'owing person is reappointed and continued as a Deputy Court Clerk of the City of West University Place, Texas, with ternlS of office where applicable? as follows: A'P'POINTEE POSITION TERM ENDING ell ristian Sandoval 'Deputy Court Clerk NIA Section 2. That such officer is hereby vested with all powers and duties as set fOlth in the Chatter of the City of West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas peltaining to his appointlnent and shall receive cOlnpensation as 111ay be authorized by the City Council froln tiIne to time. Section 3. That such officer shal I also serve after the expiration of their tenn of office until their successor is appointed and shall have qualified. Section 4. That this appointrnent Inade by this resolution shal'J take effect inlJnediately upon passage and approval hereof Section 5. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflicts only. Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution or the application thereof to any person or circurTIstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any COlIlt of cornpetent jur.isdiction, the renla.inder of this resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 7. The City Council officially finds, detennines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each lueeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open M.eetings Act, as alnended, and that each sllch Ineeting has been open to the public as required by law at all tilnes during such discussion, consideration and action.
