WHEREAS, it has been deterlnined that it will be advantageous to designate qualified employees as Deputy Municipal Court Clerks for the purpose of signing complaints; and WHEREAS, the following employee is qualified to assutne the duties of Deputy Court Clerk for this purpose: Sarah Salinas NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That City Council hereby nalnes Sarah Salinas as a Deputy Mllni.cipal Couti Clerk of the City of West University Place for the purpose of signing cOlnpla-ints~ Section 2~ That the appointment of Sarah Salinas as Deputy Court Clerk shall beCOlne effective iInmediately frolll and after the passage and approval of this Resolution. Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflicts only. Section 4~ If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any COtut of COlnpetent jurisdiction, the reluainder of this resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to any other persons or cirCtUllstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 5. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the lnanner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, as amended, and that each such Ineeting has been open to the public as required by law at all titnes during snch discussion, consideration and action~ The City Council ratifies~ approves and confirms such notices and the contents and posting thereof PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of April ,2001.
