RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001-0 I
A RESOL.UTION APPOINTING A MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK FOR TI-IE CITY OF WEST
.UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING ~FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1. That the fa Howing person is appointed for a position in the Mu nici pal
Court of the City of West Univers.ity Place, Texas, with terlTIS of office where applicable, as
follows:

Section 2. That such officer is hereby vested with all powers and duties as set forth
in the Charter of the City of West University .Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas
pertaining to her appointlnent and shall receive cOlnpensation as lnay be authorized.
Section 3.
That this appointlnent lnade by this resolution shall take effect June 27,
2001.
Section 4. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only ~
Section 5. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirClIlTI stance, shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of COlnpetent jurisdiction, the remainder of this
resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other
part of this resolution to any other persons or CirCUITIstances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 6~ The City Council officially finds, deternlines and declares that a
sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each lneeting at which this
resolution was discussed~ considered or acted upon was given in the ll1anner required by the
Texas Open Meetings Act, as amended, and that each such Ineeting has been open to the public
as required by law at all thnes during such discussi.on, consideration and action. The City
Council ratifies, approves and COnfirlTIS such notices and the contents and posting thereof&
