RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001..10
WHEREAS, it has been detennined that it ,viii be advantageous to designate qualified
employees as Deputy Municipal Court Clerks for the purpose of signing cOlnplaints; and
WHEREAS, the following employee is qualified to asstune the duties of Deputy Court
Clerk for this purpose:
Olga G. Garza
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1. That City Council hereby natnes Olga Garza as a Deputy Municipal Court
Clerk of the City of West University Place for the purpose of signing c0111pJaints.
Section 2. That the appointInent of Olga Garza as Deputy Court Clerk shall beC0l11e
effective itTIlnediately froln and after the passage and approval of this Resolution.
Section 3~ All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only.
Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this
resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirClllTIstallce, shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the relnainder of this
resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph~ section or other
part of this resolution to any other persons or circut11.stances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 5. The City Counci.l officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient
written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each lueeting at which this resolution "vas
discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the 111anner required by the Texas Open
Meetings Act, as mnended, and that each such lneeting has been open to the public as required
by law at all times during such discussioll, consideration and action. The City Council ratifies,
approves and confirnls suell notices and the contents and posting thereof
