RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001-24
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MUNICIPAL COURT P.ERSONNEL FOR TH.E CITY OF
W.EST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIV.ERSITY PLACE:
Section 1 ~ That the following persons are appointed for positions in the Municipal
Court of the City of West U.niversity Place, Texas, with tenTIS of office as fa lIows:

Section 2~ That such officers are hereby vested with all powers and duties as set
fOlth in the Charter of the City of West University Place and the Statutes of the State of Texas
pertaining to his appointn1ent and shall receive cOlnpensation as lnay be authorized by the City
Council fraIll tinle to tilne~
Section 3 ~ .Each shall also serve after the expiration of their ternlS of office unti i
their successors are appointed and shall have qualified.
Section 4~ That this appointlnent Blade by this reso lution shall take effect
ilnnlediately upon passage and approval hereof.
Section 5. All resolutions and palts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only~
Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirCU111stance, shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of COlnpetent jur.isd ictiol1, the retnainder of this
resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence., paragraph, section or other
part of this resolution to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 7 ~ The City Council officially finds, cleternl ines and declares that a
sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each Illeeting at vvhich this
resolution was disclIssed, considered. or acted upon was given in the Inallner required by the
Texas Open Meethlgs Act, as aluended, and that each sllch llleeting has been open to the public
as required by Jaw at all times during such discussion, consideration and action. The City
Council ratifies, approves and confinTIs snch notices and the contents and posting thereof.
