HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2000-04 RESOLUTION NUMBER 2000-0.~, Oif WHEREAS, it has been determined that it will be advantageous to designate qualified employees as Deputy Municipal Court Clerks for the purpose of signing complaints; and WHEREAS, the following elnployees are qualified to assume the duties of Deputy Court Clerk for this purpose: Maxine Stevenson Janet Mynatt NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That City Council hereby nalnes Maxine Stevenson and Janet Mynatt as Deputy Municipal Court Clerks of the City of West University Place for the purpose of sign.ing COlnp laints. Section 2. That the appointlnent of M.axine Stevenson and Janet Mynatt as Deputy Court Clerks shall become effective imlnediately froln and after the passage and approval of this Resolution. Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions 1I1 conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflicts only. Section 4. If any word, phrase~ clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other palt of this resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the relnaillder of this resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other palt of this resolution to any other persons or CirCUlTIstallces shall not be affected thereby. Section 5. The City Counc i I officially finds, deterlTI i nes and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each Ineeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, as alnended, and that each such Ineeting has been open to the public as required by law at all tilnes during such discussion, cons:ideration and action.
