WHEREAS, it has been deternlined that it will be advantageous to designate qualified eluployees as Deputy Municipal Court Clerks for the purpose of signing cOluplaints; and WHEREAS, the following employees are qualified to aSSUlne the duties of Deputy Court Clerk for this purpose: Bobby Wooten James Brady NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That City Council hereby nanles .Bobby Wooten and James Brady as Deputy M:unicipal Court Clerks of the City of West University Place for the purpose of signing complaints~ Section 2~ That the appointlnent of Bobby Wooten and Jalnes Brady as Deputy Court Clerks shall becon1.e effective ilTIlned.iately frolll and after the passage and approval of this Reso lution. Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions III conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflicts only~ Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any COUlt of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this resolution and the application of such word, phrase~ clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this resolution to any other persons or CirCUlTIstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 5~ The City Council officially finds, deterlnines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each 111eeting at which this resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, as anlended, and that each slIch Ineeting has been open to the public as required by law at all titnes during such discuss.ion, consideration and action. The City Council ratifies, approves and confirllls such notices and the contents and posting thereof. PASSED AND APPROVED this 11th day of Januarv , 1999.
